Amethyst

Amethyst, a sister stone to citrine, is deep purple colored quartz. Fine amethyst is usually found in Brazil, but can be found in Uruguay, Siberia, and parts of Eastern Africa. Creative Goldsmith's specializes in African Zambian amethyst. We prefer Zambian amethyst because of it's rich and intense color, and availability in smaller sizes. (Perfect for rings and pendants.) For some unknown reason, African amethyst seems as though incredible color and intensity are crammed into smaller crystals.
